Q: Are you planned to also made patches for other banking apps (eg : BIDV, VietinBank, Vietcombank,...) ?

A: No. I'm not going to made patches for other banking apps except Military Bank at all

Q. MBCP is another way to hiding root for MB Bank app?

A. IT'S NOT, MBCP is a patched MB Bank app with removed root detection (and partially since v6.4.69+), it's not hiding root at all, my goal is to make app works without hiding.

For example : You have MB Bank app which is detecting root, and as other sites, you need to hiding root with SuSFS, Shamiko, or something simlar to that, but if you install MBCP app (and use MBZDefend-Fix module for v6.4.69+), you won't getting detected even though you didn't install any of mentioned root hiding modules, while also benefits other modifications, like custom themes, and device fonts,etc...

Q: Why MBCP app exists? Is it official?

A: Because MB is appears to add the useless features that no one cares, root detection methods, accessibility checks, which affects to some amount of current Android users, especially users with customized Android ROMs and enhance and protect their privacy with ROOT, the bank refuse to running on rooted devices is preventing those users from performing transactions from those devices. That's why, MBCP is borned, with the main purpose is trying to remove the limitations from the original app

• MBCP is the patched app from the original MB Bank app, which is extracted from Google Play, not the fake app with the same UI as original one at all, but it's still unofficial.

Q: Is theres any risks with my balance, account, DigitalOTP PIN when using MBCP app?

A: No. We will NEVER collect and track anything from the MBCP app, or do anything that is going to take your balance at all, it's completely illegal and shouldn't be happen. The patch is also fully open source, you can check it out and patch by yourself.

Q: Are MBCP app safe to use?

A: As described, the app is completely safe and fully open source. You can download and use it or patch by yourself.

Q: Every the app has new updates, where to download it?

A: You can download from MBCP/mbbpatch releases and update it, or patch from source.

Q: Can I change the account balance or creating fake transfer bills?

A: No. This is illgeal and we will never allow it at all.

Q: Can I use virtual camera (VCAM,VirtualCamera,etc...) to bypass face recognition (eKYC) without the right account's owner face?

A: HELL! NO. This is completely illegal in Vietnam, you can get asserted if doing that. We will NEVER and against this action.

Q: Registering DigitalOTP for MBCP app

Tip

You don't need to worry about Digital OTP as of MB/MBCP v6.4.83+ anymore !!!

A: Firstly, you need to unlink all registerded Digital OTP devices in original app, and then use MBCP app, it will allow you to registering DigialOTP (or Online OTP) with face recognition method and NOT scanning QR from "other devices"

• If you already do more than 5 transactions from original unpatched app, then no need to unlink DigitalOTP devices, just install MBCP app then
• In case if you do factory reset, installed another roms, changed other devices, and you don't have any devices with registered DigitalOTP (Online OTP), please find or ask someone for an iPhone (5s and above), open MB Bank app on it and do registering DigialOTP in it, then unlink all registered DigitalOTP devices (including that iPhone) too. After unlinked, back to your device, and try to registering DigitalOTP again, it should ask you to perform face recognition (eKYC).

Q: Can I use this MBCP app and go to MB's branch for trading or something?

A: Mostly yes, but please don't say with their employees that you're using MBCP app. If you let MB's employees know that you are using MBCP app, you might not be supported at all.

FAQ for Developers

Q: Does MBCP app also providing SSL Pinning bypassses?

A: No, bypassing SSL pinning will allow hackers to fake the real server host to their own and then made fake transactions from real app. This is illegal and we will never allow it at all.

Q: Does (cuynu) using Generative AI for project development?

A: HELL! No. this is the things I strongly hate in my life. MBCP project will 100% AI-free, written by my hand (also some trusted contributors) with only the help from Google (without AI overview) / DuckDuckGo (without Search Assist) / StackOverFlow (without AI Assist) / ...

I rather end my life than using generative AI again. Once time tinkering with it to the production environment is enough, and I don't want it to be happen again.

Q: If the app respects user privacy & freedom, where is it's source code for transparency?

A: Since v6.4.47, all of MBCP patches is now fully open source on MBCP/mbbpatch. You can patch it by yourself from Linux or macOS environment.

Q: Can I run MBCP app from Android Emulators / WayDroid container ?

A: No. The app will refuse to run with arm native bridge translation. This is the base app behaviour.

Q: I have macOS environment, how can I patch the app with it ?

A: macOS is now officially supported, follow the docs here !

Q: I want to contribute code to project

A: Read the contribution rules on the README of MBCP/mbbpatch before made PRs.

Q: Can I use AI-models to assist for me or generate code then contribute that to the project?

A: HELL! No. I won't accept AI-assisted or AI-generated code for my projects at all. If you want to do so, fork and do it yourself.
