NFC: ST21NFCA: Add driver for STMicroelectronics ST21NFCA NFC Chip
Add driver for STMicroelectronics ST21NFCA NFC controller. ST21NFCA is using HCI protocol, shdlc as LLC layer & I2C as communication protocol. Adding support for Reader/Writer mode with Tag type 1/2/3/4 A & B. It is using proprietary gate 15 for ISO14443-3 such as type 1 & type 2 tags. It is using proprietary gate 14 for type F tags. ST21NFCA_DEVICE_MGNT_GATE gives access to proprietary CLF configuration. Standard gate for ISO14443-4 A (13) & B (11) are also used. ST21NFCA specific mecanism: One particular point to notice for the data handling is that frame does not contain any length value. Therefore the i2c part of this driver is managing the reception with a read length sequence until the end of frame (0x7e) is reached. In order to avoid conflict between sof & eof a mecanism called byte stuffing concist of an escape byte (0x7d) insertion before special byte (0x7e, 0x7d). The special byte is then xored with 0x20. In this driver, When data are available in the CLF, the interrupt gpio is driven to active state and triggered an interrupt. Once the i2c_master_recv start, the interrupt gpio is driven to idle state until its complete. If the frame is incomplete or data are still available, interrupts will be triggered again. ARM: SoC: driver changes
These changes are mostly for ARM specific device drivers that either don't have an upstream maintainer, or that had the maintainer ask us to pick up the changes to avoid conflicts. A large chunk of this are clock drivers (bcm281xx, exynos, versatile, shmobile), aside from that, reset controllers for STi as well as a large rework of the Marvell Orion/EBU watchdog driver are notable. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iQIVAwUAUz/1+GCrR//JCVInAQJmfg/9GyqHatDjjUPUBjUQRIEtKgGdmQwdbDqF x+OrS/q5B5zYbpIWkbkt1IUYJfU+89Z5ev9jxI4rV824Nu9Y92mHPDnv+N/ptkIh q2OVP3bQDpWs3aEVV2B1HBNcWrNUuwco9BJu05eegEePii/cto0/wKwWIgUmrmjy xOLthsnp2YmeplGs7ctC6Dz8XbmELebpawejTGylARXei/SwmzB/YYDgJbYjRL2I WSCVa8Vo+MZaGC/yxdKVTtvsKVQenxGoMO3ojikJeRdvuVRJds48Cw+UBdzWYNeJ 3Ssvbdx6Xltf9jy/7H0btOUgxPetZuUV+2XpbWfGu0Zr9FcGDv3q9hrxA+UYKnkY GIGU0otSsmpHnX5Ms3E2xnHiV/fihxA3qohqts5kYRBDr5uc+IpW6SbDymQliCGG OO4XmIVM3pmsqAqP3Zuseemt9CeSW2yC0XlfXkzjO74yY39c+WLBbtGI40Z5W6i0 mM1C8RD3QSNijYCEC8eqz06BQfRImsPs+jllsnJTZaHfbOsib718uvandjfG26lN 616YMcqq0Sp51HIQ4qW7f2dQr7vOyNqbukdkrwF5JgkY/nVki5kdciRg/yeipRy6 Ey80a+OTq0GQljM0F2dcH/A1eHH9KsuI1L6NdSMJsl0h6guIBORPTwTw3qJ13OkR wpJyM+Gm+Fk= =u/FI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'drivers-3.15' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC driver changes from Arnd Bergmann: "These changes are mostly for ARM specific device drivers that either don't have an upstream maintainer, or that had the maintainer ask us to pick up the changes to avoid conflicts. ARM: SoC: cleanups for 3.15
These cleanup patches are mainly move stuff around and should all
be harmless. They are mainly split out so that other branches can
be based on top to avoid conflicts.
Notable changes are:
* We finally remove all mach/timex.h, after CLOCK_TICK_RATE is no
longer used. (Uwe Kleine-König)
* The Qualcomm MSM platform is split out into legacy mach-msm and
new-style mach-qcom, to allow easier maintainance of the new
hardware support without regressions. (Kumar Gala)
* A rework of some of the Kconfig logic to simplify multiplatform
support (Rob Herring)
* Samsung Exynos gets closer to supporting multiplatform (Sachin
Kamat and others)
* mach-bcm3528 gets merged into mach-bcm (Stephen Warren)
* at91 gains some common clock framework support (Alexandre Belloni,
Jean-Jacques Hiblot and other French people).

This is the bulk of GPIO changes for v3.15:
- Merged in a branch of irqchip changes from Thomas
Gleixner: we need to have new callbacks from the
irqchip to determine if the GPIO line will be eligible
for IRQs, and this callback must be able to say "no".
After some thinking I got the branch from tglx and
have switched all current users over to use this.
- Based on tglx patches, we have added some generic
irqchip helpers in the gpiolib core. These will
help centralize code when GPIO drivers have simple

marking the GPIO lines for IRQs.

Pull bulk of gpio updates from Linus Walleij:
"A pretty big chunk of changes this time, but it has all been on
rotation in linux-next and had some testing. Of course there will be
some amount of fixes on top...
- Merged in a branch of irqchip changes from Thomas Gleixner: we need
to have new callbacks from the irqchip to determine if the GPIO
line will be eligible for IRQs, and this callback must be able to
say "no". After some thinking I got the branch from tglx and have
switched all current users over to use this.

sound updates for 3.15-rc1
There have been lots of changes in ALSA core, HD-audio and ASoC, also
most of PCI drivers touched by conversions of printks. All these
resulted in a high volume and wide ranged patch sets in this release.
Many changes are fairly trivial, but also lots of nice cleanups and
refactors. There are a few new drivers, most notably, the Intel
Haswell and Baytrail ASoC driver.
Core changes:
- A bit modernization; embed the device struct into snd_card struct,
so that it may be referred from the beginning. A new snd_card_new()
function is introduced for that, and all drivers have been
converted.
- Simplification in the device management code in ALSA core;
now managed by a simple priority list instead
- Converted many kernel messages to use the standard dev_err() & co;
this would be the pretty visible difference, especially for
HD-audio.
HD-audio:
- Conexant codecs use the auto-parser as default now;
the old static code still remains in case of regressions.
Some old quirks have been rewritten with the fixups for auto-parser.
- C-Media codecs also use the auto-parser as default now, too.
- A device struct is assigned to each HD-audio codec, and the formerly
hwdep attributes are accessible over the codec sysfs, too.
hwdep attributes still remain for compatibility.
- Split the PCI-specific stuff for HD-audio controller into a separate
module, ane make a helper module for the generic controller driver.
This is a preliminary change for supporting Tegra HDMI controller in
near future, which slipped from 3.15 merge.
- Device-specific fixes: mute LED support for Lenovo Ideapad,
mic LED fix for HP laptops, more ASUS subwoofer quirks, yet more
Dell laptop headset quirks
- Make the HD-audio codec response a bit more robust
- A few improvements on Realtek ALC282 / 283 about the pop noises
- A couple of Intel HDMI fixes
ASoC:
- Lots of cleanups for enumerations; refactored lots of error prone
original codes to use more modern APIs
- Elimination of the ASoC level wrappers for I2C and SPI moving us
closer to converting to regmap completely and avoiding some
randconfig hassle
- Provide both manually and transparently locked DAPM APIs rather than
a mix of the two fixing some concurrency issues
- Start converting CODEC drivers to use separate bus interface drivers
rather than having them all in one file helping avoid dependency
issues
- DPCM support for Intel Haswell and Bay Trail platforms, lots of
fixes
- Lots of work on improvements for simple-card, DaVinci and the Renesas
rcar drivers.
- New drivers for Analog Devices ADAU1977, TI PCM512x and parts of the
CSR SiRF SoC, TLV320AIC31XXX, Armada 370 DB, Cirrus cs42xx8
- Fixes for the simple-card DAI format DT mess
- DT support for a couple more devices.
- Use of the tdm_slot mapping in a few drivers
Others:
- Support of reset_resume callback for improved S4 in USB-audio driver;
the device with boot quirks have been little tested, which we need
to watch out in this development cycle
- Add PM support for ICE1712 driver (finally!);
it's still pretty partial support, only for M-Audio devices

ARM: davinci: aemif: get rid of davinci-nand driver dependency on aemif
The problem that the set timings code contains the call of Davinci platform function davinci_aemif_setup_timing() which is not accessible if kernel is built for another platform like Keystone. The Keysone platform is going to use TI AEMIF driver. If TI AEMIF is used we don't need to set timings and bus width. It is done by AEMIF driver. To get rid of davinci-nand driver dependency on aemif platform code we moved aemif code to davinci platform. The platform AEMIF code (aemif.c) has to be removed once Davinci will be converted to DT and use ti-aemif.c driver. ASoC: Add ADAU1977 CODEC driver
This patch adds support for the ADAU1977, ADAU1978 and ADAU1979 audio CODEC devices. They are a family of 4-channel differential input audio ADC devices. They can be connected to either a SPI or I2C bus. The driver is implemented in three modules, one main module (adau1977.ko) which implements the device logic and one module each for SPI (adau1977-spi.ko) and I2C (adau1977-i2c.ko) bus access. serial: max310x: Always use dynamic GPIO ID assignment
Always register GPIOs and use dynamic GPIO ID assignment. This is no much worth if GPIOs is not used, but helps remove private driver header and add DT support in the future. Additionally, patch adds missing uart_unregister_driver() call if probe() fails. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> |

ARM: integrator: switch to fetch clocks from device tree
This atomic commit changes the Integrator clock implementation and the machines to register clocks from the device tree and use these instead of the previous hard-coded clocks. In the clock implementation all hard-coded clocks and the special initialization function call goes away, and is replaced by two compatible strings for the two clocks available on the core module. Merge branch 'v4l_for_linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mchehab/linux-media
Pull media updates from Mauro Carvalho Chehab: - a new jpeg codec driver for Samsung Exynos (jpeg-hw-exynos4) - a new dvb frontend for ds2103 chipset (m88ds2103) - a new sensor driver for Samsung S5K5BAF UXGA (s5k5baf) - new drivers for R-Car VSP1 - a new radio driver: radio-raremono - a new tuner driver for ts2022 chipset (m88ts2022) - the analog part of em28xx is now a separate module that only load/runs if the device is not a pure digital TV device - added a staging driver for bcm2048 radio devices - the omap 2 video driver (omap24xx) was moved to staging. This driver is for an old hardware and uses a deprecated Kernel internal API. If nobody cares enough to fix it, it would be removed on a couple Kernel releases - the sn9c102 driver was moved to staging. This driver was replaced by gspca, and disabled on some distros, as almost all devices are known to work properly with gspca. It should be removed from kernel on a couple Kernel releases - lots of driver fixes, improvements and cleanups * 'v4l_for_linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mchehab/linux-media: (421 commits) [media] media: v4l2-dev: fix video device index assignment [media] rc-core: reuse device numbers [media] em28xx-cards: properly initialize the device bitmap [media] Staging: media: Fix line length exceeding 80 characters in as102_drv.c [media] Staging: media: Fix line length exceeding 80 characters in as102_fe.c [media] Staging: media: Fix quoted string split across line in as102_fe.c [media] media: st-rc: Add reset support [media] m2m-deinterlace: fix allocated struct type [media] radio-usb-si4713: fix sparse non static symbol warnings [media] em28xx-audio: remove needless check before usb_free_coherent() [media] au0828: Fix sparse non static symbol warning Revert "[media] go7007-usb: only use go->dev after allocated" [media] em28xx-audio: provide an error code when URB submit fails [media] em28xx: fix check for audio only usb interfaces when changing the usb alternate setting [media] em28xx: fix usb alternate setting for analog and digital video endpoints > 0 [media] em28xx: make 'em28xx_ctrl_ops' static em28xx-alsa: Fix error patch for init/fini [media] em28xx-audio: flush work at .fini [media] drxk: remove the option to load firmware asynchronously [media] em28xx: adjust period size at runtime ... |
