'The comment "if NOT in range [lo, hi], jump over the reject statement" is a bit confusingly phrased for a macro named REJECT_IF_NOT_IN_RANGE'
'A minor stylistic point: offsetof(iphdr, field) and offsetof(ipv6hdr, field) are used. If iphdr and ipv6hdr are not typedefs for struct iphdr and struct ipv6hdr respectively (which is common in standard kernel or system headers), it should strictly be offsetof(struct iphdr, field). However, this often works due to compiler leniency or specific project typedefs. The field_sizeof macro correctly uses struct iphdr. Consistency here would be ideal (e.g., using struct iphdr in offsetof as well).'
