m68k: Dont include RODATA into text segment ... Don't include RODATA into text segment as it includes the kallsyms data and can cause spurious link failures (layout differences can change the number of symbols in kallsyms, i.e. when a symbol is equal to _etext it's not included). m68k: runtime patching infrastructure ... Add the basic infrastructure to allow runtime patching of kernel and modules to optimize a few functions with parameters, which are only calculated once during bootup and are otherwise constant. Use this for the conversion between virtual and physical addresses. [PATCH] disable init/initramfs.c: architectures ... Update all arch/*/kernel/vmlinux.lds.S to not include space for initramfs when CONFIG_BLK_DEV_INITRAMFS is not selected. This saves another 4 kbytes on most platfoms (some reserve PAGE_SIZE for initramfs). Linux-2.6.12-rc2 ... Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it.
