[IA64] Properly unregister legacy interrupts
acpi_unregister_gsi() should "undo" what acpi_register_gsi() does.

On systems that have legacy interrupts, acpi_unregister_gsi erroneously calls
iosapci_unregister_intr() which is wrong to do and causes a loud warning.

acpi_unregister_gsi() should just return in these cases.

[IA64] Minimize per_cpu reservations.
This attached patch significantly shrinks boot memory allocation on ia64.
It does this by not allocating per_cpu areas for cpus that can never
exist.

In the case where acpi does not have any numa node description of the
cpus, I defaulted to assigning the first 32 round-robin on the known
nodes..  For the !CONFIG_ACPI  I used for_each_possible_cpu().

ACPI: tables: complete searching upon RSDP w/ bad checksum.
ACPI tables follow a tree structure in memory.
The root of the tree is the RSDP (Root System Description Pointer).

To find the RSDP, the OS searches for the signature "RSD PTR "
in well known physical memory locations. Then the OS computes
a table checksum to verify that the signature is really part
of a valid table header.

Some systems have a proper signature but an invalid checksum;
followed elsewhere by a proper signature with valid checksum.

http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9444

The Linux RSDP scanning code bailed out on those systems
and as a result they booted with ACPI disabled.

Fix this by deleting the Linux RSDP scanning code and
plugging in the ACPICA RSDP scanning code.

[IA64] acpi_get_sysname() should be __init
Section mismatch: reference to .init.text:acpi_find_rsdp
 (between 'acpi_get_sysname' and 'acpi_request_vector')

acpi_get_sysname() needs to call the __init function acpi_find_rsdp, but it
doesn't have the __init attribute itself, hence the warning. Luckily it is
only called from machvec_init() which has __init attribute, so the fix
is to define acpi_get_sysname() as __init too.

[PATCH] Altix: more ACPI PRT support
The SN Altix platform does not conform to the IOSAPIC IRQ routing model.
Add code in acpi_unregister_gsi() to check if (acpi_irq_model ==
ACPI_IRQ_MODEL_PLATFORM) and return.

Due to an oversight, this code was not added previously when
similar code was added to acpi_register_gsi().

ACPI_NUMA: fix HP IA64 simulator issue with extended memory domain
ACPI 3.0 incorporated the SRAT spec, upping the table version to 2,
and extending the size of the proximity domain from 1-byte to 4-bytes.
This extension was into a reserved field that firmware should
set to 0, but the HP simulator had non-zero values there
resulting in unexpected huge numbers.

So mask the domain down to 8-bits for now.
A more general fix will be to check the table version
supplied by firmware and get paranoid about reserved fields.

[PATCH] cpu to node relationship fixup: acpi_map_cpu2node
Problem description:

  We have additional_cpus= option for allocating possible_cpus. But nid
  for possible cpus are not fixed at boot time. cpus which is offlined at
  boot or cpus which is not on SRAT is not tied to its node. This will
  cause panic at cpu onlining.

Usually, pxm_to_nid() mapping is fixed at boot time by SRAT.

But, unfortunately, some system (my system!) do not include
full SRAT table for possible cpus. (Then, I use
additiona_cpus= option.)

For such possible cpus, pxm<->nid should be fixed at
hot-add. We now have acpi_map_pxm_to_node() which is also
used at boot. It's suitable here.

[PATCH] EFI: keep physical table addresses in efi structure
Almost all users of the table addresses from the EFI system table want
physical addresses. So rather than doing the pa->va->pa conversion, just keep
physical addresses in struct efi.

This fixes a DMI bug: the efi structure contained the physical SMBIOS address
on x86 but the virtual address on ia64, so dmi_scan_machine() used ioremap()
on a virtual address on ia64.

This is essentially the same as an earlier patch by Matt Tolentino:
	http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-kernel&m=112130292316281&w=2
except that this changes all table addresses, not just ACPI addresses.

Matt's original patch was backed out because it caused MCAs on HP sx1000
systems. That problem is resolved by the ioremap() attribute checking added
for ia64.

[IA64] Increase max node count on SN platforms
Add support in IA64 acpi for platforms that support more than

This patch is an interim solution that works with platforms

[IA64] Count disabled cpus as potential hot-pluggable CPUs
Have a facility to account for potentially hot-pluggable CPUs. ACPI doesnt
give a determinstic method to find hot-pluggable CPUs. Hence we use 2 methods
to assist.

- BIOS can mark potentially hot-pluggable CPUs as disabled in the MADT tables.
- User can specify the number of hot-pluggable CPUs via parameter
  additional_cpus=X

The option is enabled only if ACPI_CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU=y which enables the
physical hotplug option. Without which user can still use logical onlining
and offlining of CPUs by enabling CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU=y

Adds more bits to cpu_possible_map for potentially hot-pluggable cpus.

was released a while back, but has your feedback incorporated.

- Removed CONFIG_BSP_REMOVE_WORKAROUND and associated cmdline param
- Fixed compile issue with sn2/zx1 due to a undefined fix_b0_for_bsp
- some formatting nits (whitespace etc)

This has been tested on tiger and long back by alex on hp systems as well.

[ACPI] acpi_register_gsi() fix needed for ACPICA 20051021
Use the #define for ACPI_LEVEL_SENSITIVE instead of assuming
non-zero, because ACPICA 20051021 changes its value to zero.

Also, use uniform variable names:
edge_level -> triggering
active_high_low -> polarity

Move acpi_map_iosapics() from pci.c to acpi.c, since it doesn't
have anything to do with PCI.
