Lotus Chat for WINE (Linux)

• This script will download, extract then install Lotus Chat (Windows version) to /opt/lotuschat and run with WINE on user prefix (not Bottle)

Why this script exists ?

• Official Lotus Chat installer always throw this error if you trying to run under WINE. The only way to run Lotus Chat on WINE are extract it's installer, then run directly.

Usage

You need to have wine (Stable/Staging) and wget installed (not Bottle Wine) !!!

Clone repository, then run script (requires sudo cuz copying to /opt)

git clone https://gitlab.com/cuynu/lotuschat-wine.git
cd lotuschat-wine.git
./lotus.sh

• Script will automatically download Lotus Chat installer and innounp to temp folder, then copy Lotus.exe and Updater.exe to /opt/lotuschat/ and then copy LotusChat.desktop to current user.
• Run wine /opt/lotuschat/Lotus.exe or launch from application list
• Enjoy :>

Uninstall

sudo rm -rf '/opt/lotuschat/'
sudo rm -rf '~/.wine/drive_c/users/{username}/AppData/Roaming/Lotus Chat'
sudo rm ~/.local/share/applications/LotusChat.desktop
